Take a load off with the latest sizzlers from Regularfantasy, made in collaboration with her bestie — Montreal songwriter and producer Kristian North, as the first official release from their long-rumoured Rendezvous project. A set of genre-hopping poolside heaters, the Alt House EP plays like an inside joke from two old friends with subtle nods to the indie sleaze (Girl Like You, Take My Picture) and disco house (Take Me To Your Mansion, Talk To Me) that dominated the airwaves of the new Millennium, implanting their teenage minds. Produced in their Montreal studios, the late Le Chateau and its successor Le Chateau Part Deux, Alt House is a casual batch of cheeky modern rock remixes, stoner disco and DIY pop (with vocal features by Regularfantasy) and the perfect soundtrack to fake-spring barbecues, unpretentious dance parties and gettin’ the mops out. Out now as the premiere release on the duo’s new Montreal-based record label Behave!
